It was a warm February evening in Auckland, New
Zealand. It was the beginning of the summer vacation.
A group of happy boys and their families were
talking by the harbor. This group of twelve boys all went
to Charman’s School in Auckland. The youngest was
eight years old, and the oldest was fourteen. They had
been chosen to go on a special trip around New Zealand
on a beautiful sailing ship.
