“Figaro? Is that you?”
asks the count.
“Count Almaviva!”
says Figaro.
“Shh! Be quiet! I don’t want anyone to knowmy
name. Call me Lindor.”
Figaro doesn’t understand why the count wants to
sneak about. They stand talking for a while.
As they talk, the count keeps looking at a window
with curtains covering it.
Figaro asks,
“What are you looking at?”
At that moment, the curtains open. The count
quickly pulls Figaro into the shadows.
Aman and a woman can be seen in the window. It is
an old man and a young woman.
Figaro now understands the count’s strange actions.
It is because of the beautiful woman!
