Alexandre Dumas wrote many exciting
historical adventure stories. His most famous
story was The Three Musketeers, but The Count of
Monte Cristo is another of his well-known stories.
This story tells about prison, escape, and treasure
in France during the 1800s. The characters
include sailors, soldiers, and smugglers.
