As Count Almaviva walks down the street, he looks
at the clock tower. He is too early. But too early is better
than too late.
Count Almaviva is a long way from his home in
Madrid. It is over 500 kilometers to Seville. He travelled
all this way because of a woman. He wants to find a
beautiful woman that he saw once. His friends would
laugh, but they don’t know he came to Seville.
The count is young, handsome, and rich. Many
women want to marry him. However, he wants true love.
He wants a woman who loves him. He doesn’t want a
woman who loves his money or his title.
Another man comes down the street. The man has a
guitar and is singing to himself. The two men know each
other.
