Little Cedric was only seven years old. His
best friend was Mr. Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs had a fruit
and vegetable shop. Cedric liked to sit in Mr.
Hobbs’s shop and talk. Cedric and Mr. Hobbs liked
to talk and talk.
Cedric was a kind boy with many friends. He
treated people well. He was also handsome. He
had curly, blond hair, like his dad. His eyes were
dark, like his mom.
Little Cedric was named after his dad, Captain
Cedric Errol. But he didn’t remember much about
his father. Little Cedric did remember that it was
