Introduction
Little Lord Fauntleroy
was written in
1885 by Frances Hodgson Burnett. She was
an Englishwoman who went to live in the
United States. She was famous for writing
children’s stories. At first, this story was written
for a magazine. Parts of the story were in the
magazine each month. Then the whole story was
made into a book in 1886. Two other popular
children’s stories by Burnett are
The Secret
Garden
and
A Little Princess
