Two people can be very good friends. In this
story, a boy and his dog were good friends.
Nello and his grandfather lived in a small
town near Antwerp, Belgium. They lived in a
small hut. It was near a road that led to the city of
Antwerp.
Nello’s grandfather sold milk. People called
him “the milk seller.” He did this job for many
years. He could not do other work after being hurt
in the war.
